Development Philosophy

GTS understands that market requirements change, your customer's needs change and technology changes. We believe that Product Development and Sourcing applications are mission-critical. Our development philosophy is to build flexibility in to our applications to allow your business to adapt to the changes in the market place.

Implementation costs vs. License costs
GTS has been serving the consumers good industry since 1995. Our applications have the flexibility to adapt to your processing requirements without significant change to the code. This development philosophy, combined with our decades of experience in overseas sourcing and international trade and finance mean that the cost and pain of implementation is low. Over the course of the last 8 years, the ratio of Implementation Costs to Software License costs has averaged 1 to 4. This compares very favorably to industry averages where the consulting/implementation cost is often greater than the license cost.

Technology

All GTS software conforms to current industry standards for Windows-based applications. Developed in the Delphi programming language, GTS applications have the following features:

  • Thin-client, Internet-based application allow staff to work from anywhere they have their PC and an Internet connection. Without reduced functionality, security or features.
  • As Windows-based application, the applications run on most common office hardware and software environments. The incremental cost of setting up a SQL database server and upgrading Internet connections is usually well under $10,000.
  • Multi-language capability where required, including double-byte Chinese user interface in Inspection Systems and Supplier Product Collaboration System Internet applications.
  • Supports multiple relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.), though our current clients all use the recommended MSSQLServer.
